Ne l'aria in questi dì fatt'ho un sì forte
Ne l'aria in questi dì fatt'ho un sì forte
Vane speranze d'ogni effeto vuote,
Pangando i suoi guerrier sol d'ambitione:
Pensate l'opremie, che fin'havrano.

Anglais
I have now built such a strong castle in the air
that Jupiter’s lightning bolt could not strike it.
Built on two turning wheels,
and with doors of dust and wind,
with a thousand ditches all around.
Its supplies are vain hopes empty of every effect.
The walls are desire, where beat
not sea nor river, but storms and fate.
The weapons, which do not know how to fight
against anyone, are made of foolish daring and fear,
and the ammunition is made of thoughts.
The lord of the castle fights against himself,
paying his warriors only with ambition.
Imagine my creation, and what end it will have.
