    - p.X : 'The motet No. 24, Mirabar solito - Virtutum ante alios, is clearly recognizable as a homage to Duke Albrecht V of Bavaria. It has not yet been noticed, however, that the last lines of its two parfes - Vivat hic Albertus, dux modo Bavariae and Vivat in aeternum dux modo Bavariae - indicate an exact moment. The Latin adverb "modo" means "just now", and the words dux modo Bavariae mean<>em> "he who has just become Duke". In this motet Rore and the poet Nicolaus de Stoop (Stopius) from the Netherlands, who lived in Venice, pay homage to Duke Albrecht not only in general but specifically on the occasion of his accession to the throne. This was in March 1550. Consequently, it is not likely that the motet Mirabar solito was written much later than at this date.'
